For people who are blind or have a visual impairment, tactile guidance systems offer orientation so that they can move around independently in unfamiliar places. We were able to plan and implement a holistic tactile guidance system for the building complex for the international pharmaceutical company MSD in Munich.
Starting with tactile handrail signs for the stair railings, palpable conference room signs and toilet door signs with Braille and pyramid writing, through to an extensive floor guidance system with ribs and knobs for graspability with a white cane. In accordance with DIN standard 18040, we planned a well-thought-out concept for the barrier-free guidance system and implemented the installations at all important contact points at the site.
